Our Sustainability Policy

As Çimko, we are aware that our responsibilities are not limited to completing operations in our main line of business, and in this direction, we define our responsibilities in a broader context and work towards sustainability principles and commit to all of our stakeholders that we will not go beyond these principles. We define our sustainability principles under the relevant headings as follows:

Our Commitment to the Protection of the Environment and Natural Resources

  • To comply with environmental management system requirements, to provide information and resources for continuous improvement.
  • Comply with environmental management systems and applicable legal regulations, national - international standards and sector-specific commitments.
  • We keep records of the effects that we leave in the environment from raw material to delivery, and we strive to leave a more livable environment for future generations.
  • While determining our facilities, work places, we pay attention to the existence of biodiversity areas and historical / cultural areas, and we commit to all our stakeholders that we will not establish facilities in these areas
  • Our activities; we are committed to conducting in a manner that does not pose any risk or danger to the environment and human health.
  • In Narli Factory, there is an RDF (Refuse Derived Fuel) facility that provides safe and environmentally friendly waste disposal services to industries that produce a large amount of waste for waste disposal.Thus; We contribute to improve the quality of the environment by eliminating regional environmental pollution and we commit to continue this by increasing.
  • We are committed to the responsible use of resources by reducing the consumption of primary fossil resources such as petroleum coke and lignite as our fuel with our RDF Facility, we contribute to the prevention of additional CO2 and CH4 emissions and the reduction of greenhouse gases.
  • We advocate the economy of recycling and include practices that promote clean production.
  • By changing the idea of "dirty and irregularity" in cement factories and ready-mixed concrete plants in Çimko; we are committed to ensuring social and environmental coordination, nature, business and human compliance.
  • To follow and apply the current technologies that have proven valid with the philosophy of sustainable production, thus to use the resources in the most efficient and economical way.

Our Responsibilities to the Society and to Our Employees

As Çimko, we comply with the agreements published by the Universal Declaration of Human Rights and the International Labor Organization (ILO) in our working conditions and human resources practices. In this respect, we declare that we shall comply with the following principles:

  • We support and respect the protection of the rights contained in the Declaration of Human Rights.
  • We do not allow violations of human rights, we do not create a climate that will cause it.
  • We respect union rights of employees.
  • We act in accordance with the elimination of all forms of forced and compulsory labor, as included in the ILO conventions.
  • We act against child labor.
  • We do not allow discrimination in all of our Human Resources practices.
  • We take care of work-life balance.
  • We support social investments and implement our support within the framework of the policy and systematic defined by the Sanko Foundation under the roof of Sanko Holding.
  • We respect the property rights of all stakeholders and act accordingly.
  • We act responsibly against the people of our region and listen to their opinions and suggestions on common communication platforms.
