Raw Material Recognition with Artificial Intelligence
The artificial intelligence image processing technology, which we have introduced with a new approach in logistics and supply chain management, makes a significant difference in the recognition and monitoring of truck and trailer loads. This technology enhances transportation operations’ safety and provides advantages such as increased operational efficiency, accuracy and reliability, real-time monitoring, and cost savings.
Artificial Intelligence Supported OHS Violations Tracking
Thanks to the basic artificial intelligence-supported software installed on process cameras, we can instantly detect Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) violations in all Çimko plants and take swift action. Based on the reports generated by the system at desired intervals, we identify where and how the most violations occur and take the necessary measures and actions.
At the OHS Value Adders Awards organized by the Cement Industry Employers’ Association (ÇEİS), our Narlı plant ranked first in the “Adding Value to OHS with Digital Solutions” category with its “Intenseye Basic Artificial Intelligence Supported OHS Violations Monitoring” project, and won the “OHS Value Adders Grand Prize”.
Narlı RFID Automation
We have adopted RFID Automation technology to make our industrial production processes more efficient and competitive. With the automation implemented at our Narlı Plant, all processes such as weighing, loading, and vehicle exit linked to customer or supplier orders have been automated. This system provides benefits in inventory management, product traceability, optimization of production processes, security and access control, and accelerates vehicle entry-exit times by 50 percent.
Raw Material and Fuel Optimization
We aim to create a sustainable model in waste management and resource utilization by adopting a circular economy approach. In line with our goal of utilizing all available resources, we install Waste Heat to Energy (ORC) and Waste Heat Recovery (WHR) systems in our plants. With the ORC system at the Narlı Plant and the WHR system at the Bartın Plant, we meet 10 percent of our entire electricity need from waste heat. We utilize other plants’ wastes such as textiles, end-of-life tires, and treatment sludge generated from the production process as alternative raw materials and fuel. Currently, 18.5 percent of the fuel need in all our plants is met in this way.
OHS 360 Occupational Safety Management System
With the OHS 360 Occupational Safety Management System software, commissioned at Adıyaman, Bartın, Narlı, and Ereğli plants and ready-mixed concrete plants, all practices and processes in occupational health and safety have been transferred to the live system. This ensures that OHS data is always accessible, reportable, and stored. We conduct all transactions such as pre-job risk analyses, on-the-job training, personal protective equipment requests, field and behavior-oriented inspections, work permits for specific jobs, and nonconformity notifications in a digital environment. We also support more sustainable living for future generations with zero paper usage.
VisitPro Visitor and Subcontractor Management System
With the VisitPro Visitor and Subcontractor Management System, employees and external visitors are recorded during their stay at Çimko. By digitizing the visit processes, it has become possible to manage them more accurately. Our stakeholders upload the necessary document sets to the system before entering our facilities, and the uploaded documents are approved by the relevant experts if deemed appropriate. With the training link sent through the system, the visitor receives the necessary training before arriving at the facility and can log in.
Smart Planning Application in Ready-Mixed Concrete
We launched the ‘Smart Planning’ application to manage and optimize all processes of ready-mixed concrete orders from production to customer delivery. We optimize production processes by processing large data sets from this software on a single platform. We ensure that order inputs are automatically created by receiving and processing the data generated on the Navigation Mobile (Vehicle Tracking System) via web service and combining the data generated in production automation and equipment information.
